a while ago rem koolhaas designed an addition to the whitney in new york.
the whitney is my favorite building ever made. rem's proposal is pretty cool too. it's a shame it never got built. there's not a lot of information on it on the internets (i think renzo piano's proposal getting picked was very shameful to them).




also, the results to the poll were helpful.
i am not getting a haircut. there were eight votes, and three of those people said i should get a haircut. i think my mom just voted three times.

casa del fascio was designed by giuseppe terragni, one of the italian rationalists. casa del fascio means "house of fascism" in italian. it was designed to be a backdrop for fascist rallies in the twenties and thirties in como, italy.
if this means anything terragni heavily influenced peter eisenman (eisenman wrote his thesis on terragni).
what a pretty building.

i made a fruit bowl out of polycarbonate. it's like steel but clear, you can bend it and crease it and it won't snap or explode into a million pieces. it's just one piece, cut four times, and bent.
it's invisible when all the fruit's gone.

today i had a lot of ice cream for lunch. it was free in front of patterson office tower. they had three (3) kinds. i ate them all. dippin dots, regular scoop ice cream, and ice cream bars. and there was a drum line of nerds in hawaiian shirts and they were very good.
